I wanted to be a radio presenter from when I was a child. When it came time to go to university, I told my parents I wanted to be a radio presenter, but they said ‘that’s not a job for decent girls’. In those days you did what you were told, so I went to work in the IT industry. In 2018 I got the opportunity to present Afrobeats shows in Slam radio and gain invaluable experience. Though I am fairly new in the game, I am learning and loving every minute of it.
I have played and dj'd a mixed genre of music since the mid 80's but I luv reggae dancehall. I am one of six female sound system operators in the U.K with a full set and I have played at the London Notting Hill carnival for 20+ years.
