JAMES CAPONE

I am James Capone. I started the music industry around 30 years ago. Primarily DJing in local clubs, private parties and venues around Birmingham. I was part of a Sound called Romantic Bubbler, in the 80’s and 90’s where I would write my own lyrics and spit bars on the mic.

I was later asked to play music on local radio stations around Birmingham and soon became known to other DJ’s. Years later Romantic Bubbler disbanded and I went solo. I continued to play on the local radio stations and from this, was asked to play for private parties, weddings, funerals and any other special events further afield.

I am a singer and MC and have travelled to other countries worldwide performing my own music that I have written and had some releases in Europe.

I am a Master of Ceremony for Weddings and other events that need a main speaker.

More recently, as a result of the lockdowns, I have had to adapt to the changes and used Zoom to create THE ZOOM BANQUETING SUITE, where I am the CEO. We provide an alternative to night clubs, creating theme nights and birthday parties which gave people access to some form of normality by dressing up and having that feel-good factor, during the difficult times. With a team of DJ’s from GY Radio and other online and local radio stations, we have attracted over 500 people on Saturday nights. This has been very beneficial to me as it has given me a new alternative platform to show others from all over the world from Toronto, Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica, USA and here in England my skills in what I can do as a DJ. It has subsequently allowed me to gain access to other promotions, birthday parties, holiday bookings, weddings and club bookings.

I have been booked on several weekenders away here in England and abroad, I am versatile and can adapt to most genres of music to suit the audiences needs and pride myself in being able to get the dance floor lively and have the ability to give them a good time with my humour, interaction and a good selection of music.

I can also provide a sound system when needed at a reasonable, competitive rate.
